Lower Peover Parish Council has purchased SelectaDNA property marking kits for every resident to protect their valuables from burglary. The kits are an effective way to reduce crime when used in conjunction with local signage that is now installed in the village.
These kits are specific to each household, so they can make property identifiable to the police if it is stolen. The use of Selecta DNA in whole communities has shown that the area is less likely to be targeted for theft than an area that has not been covered, reducing incidences of burglary by up to 83% in some areas.
The next session for issuing the kits is taking place on Tuesday 16th October at 6pm at Lower Peover Primary School.
The kits will be available to collect following a short presentation by the Cheshire Police.
Sarah Morgan, the new clerk to Lower Peover Council, says ”The Council would like every resident to take up this offer and if you are not able to attend, please let the Parish Council know via phone or email and we will arrange a suitable time for you to be issued with your kit”
Lower Peover Parish can be contacted by phone on 07958055158 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
